One method I used to manage my anxiety was shifting my focus from worry to gratitude.
Whenever I caught myself fixating on my fears, I would remind myself to focus on gratitude instead.
Who deserves my gratitude today?
Although undergoing four surgeries and being confined to bed rest was challenging, it allowed me to make a profound realization: practicing gratitude can truly change your life.
By concentrating on gratitude and expressing it, I found myself spending less time dwelling on my worries.
Expressing gratitude not only improved my ability to handle my concerns but also deepened my connections with my friends, family, and even my surgeon!
Whether you’re experiencing a peak or a valley in life, there is much to be gained from expressing gratitude and spreading it to others.
Here are a few of my top suggestions for achieving that:

Make sure to engage with every post on your friends’ social media feeds.
Clicking a button to show appreciation for a post may appear insignificant, but in today’s digital era, this simple gesture can be a wonderful—and effortless!—method to convey thanks.
It may seem trivial, but those small notifications can hold significant value for certain individuals.
If you agree with the post’s message, why not express your support by liking or reacting to it?
2.
Extend forgiveness to someone who has caused you pain.
Forgiveness and thankfulness may not seem like they go hand in hand, but when you let go of resentment and pain (with or without an apology), you are really just being thankful for the chance to learn compassion and for the experience itself.
Do not misunderstand; forgiving someone does not mean you approve of their conduct.
It provides an opportunity to break free from negative feelings like resentment and anger, ultimately showing self-love.
