The first step in learning Zen meditation is to choose an object to focus on.
There are several objects that you can use, such as your breathing, your heartbeat, or a candle flame.
Once you have chosen an object to focus on you will need to sit down in a quiet place.
Make sure that there is nothing distracting you and that you are comfortable.
Once you are sitting comfortably you will want to focus on your breathing.
