TAROT How Frequently Should You Get a Reading?

“How often should I get a Tarot card reading?” is one of my most frequently asked questions. There is no one-size-fits-all solution.

It depends on your goal—the sort of reading you’re doing and how you’re going to use it.

If you want to get an idea of what is going to happen in the future, you may take a reading every six months or so, or even once a year.

This kind of reading often includes a larger “spread” or “layout,” as Tarot readings are known.

This provides a larger picture of trends that may be at work around you. It typically informs the reader whether they are in a period of transition or relative stability—if new things are on the horizon or whether things will stay fairly similar to the way they are today.

This kind of reading isn’t necessary too often. It’s a “large picture” material that evolves slowly.

If you’re just interested in one topic at a time, such as if you’ll be getting a new job soon, you may use a smaller layout to ask that question.

A few cards or a Celtic Cross will be enough to inform you what your options are in that case. The reading may indicate that you need to improve your abilities and pursue a different professional path, or that you should look for a job more extensively than you are now doing.

If you inquired about relocating, it is possible that you might be told that relocation would be disruptive at this time.

The Tarot is never just “Yes” or “No.” It usually provides you with some guidance or insight as well.

With a reading based on a single subject, you may inquire at any time you want, as long as the themes are not the same.

It’s pointless to ask the same question many times since the responses get complicated and often reflect how you’re feeling that day.

I constantly attempt to keep people from getting too reliant on divination. Asking the same question over and over again, attempting to badger the cards into giving you what you want to hear, is unhealthy.

Sometimes life does not offer us what we desire, and we must accept this and go on as best we can.

It is preferable not to make frivolous inquiries. I’ve discovered that the Tarot works best when you’ve thoroughly considered your query and phrased it in a reasonable way.

When you have an answer to a question, it’s a good idea to step back and think about how that solution may assist you with your situation.

That is one of the Tarot’s powers — advice. It may assist us in seeing solutions for ourselves.

When you use the Tarot correctly, it’s like talking to a close friend. The responses often offer fresh perspectives on our lives, which may help us bring out the best in ourselves in the future.

It reacts best, like all excellent friends, if you pay attention to the responses it offers.
